I'm Jessica Sloan Dickson, a Senior Anthropology student at the University of Texas at Austin.
My area of study is archaeology and I am particularly interested in the prehistoric period of the Americas.
While my main focus is in archaeology, I also enjoy learning about statistics and other data sciences and their applications to my field.
I am currently working on my honor's thesis covering the Roger Springs Archaeological site (located in Austin!) and I am helping organize, document and store the artifacts from this site during my internship at the Texas Archaeological Research Laboratory.
Here are a few of my data science oriented projects.
